If the BMW f10 auto start stop is not working then there are a few things. You either have an issue with the battery or the fuse. If it is the battery then You will notice that the car tries to start again, but it won't have the power to do so. This is because the voltage is not correct, either due to a bad battery, or a bad voltage regulator. If the system simply does not work then the fuse that powers it is not working. To get to the fuse box underneath the hood of the car You will want to pop the hood and latch it open. Along the right-hand side of the engine compartment will be a black box or case. You will see that it has a seam that runs around it. If You pop this open You will find the fuse inside. On the back of the lid for the case will be a diagram of what fuse is for what. If this is not on the back of the box then You can also find it in the owner's manual for the car. Once You have figured out which fuse You need simply pull it out. The two sections that stick up should be connected by a thin strip of metal. If this has been broken then the fuse is no good and will need to be replaced. If this strip is there then the fuse is fine and can be popped back in. New fuses will cost You about 10 dollars, so they are pretty cheap

The auto stop system on the BMW f10 is controlled by wires, if those wires are bad then it will not function correctly, likewise if the battery is low then it will not activate.
