Why is my Ford Ranger reverse camera not working?

There are a few reasons the backup camera in Your Ford Ranger may stop working. The first thing to check is to make sure You have the display powered on. If You are sure that is not the problem, a system reset is the neXTStep to take. To do this You will need to press and hold down the power button until the in-dash display restarts. If that doesnt work You will need to start looking for problems with the camera assembly. First You will need to check the fuses. Look in Your owner's manual to find the fuse locations and check any that are associated with the display, radio and of course, the camera. If those are all good You may have a faulty camera unit, the most common cause for this is water damage or physical damage.
