When the USB port is not working in Your Kia Sportage there are usually a few different things that could be wrong. The first thing to always do is try to reset the head unit. If there is a software issue usually rebooting it will help and that can allow devices to be connected again. If rebooting it does not work then the next thing to check is the actual USB port itself. Make sure that the port and cable You are using are free from damage and debris that could prevent a connection from happening. The next thing to check if they are fine is the actual wire at the bottom of the port. If this is loose then it will not be able to communicate with the dash.

USB port issues on the Kia Sportage can be caused by a blown USB fuse or loose wiring.
