The Mazda CX-9 has a very spotty history when it comes to AWD problems. The main culprit of failing AWD is the transfer case. This is the assembly that transfers power from the engine to the wheels. Mazda acknowledged the issue by extending the factory warranty on the CX-9 but stopped short of issuing a full recall. It is such a widespread problem that there were talks of A-A-Classction lawsuit but nothing ever came of it. If You have one of these vehicles and it is having problems with all wheel drive You need to have it looked at soon. Continuing to drive, even in front wheel drive only, can wreck the transmission which will probably cost more than the vehicle is worth to repair.

If the Mazda cx 9 awd is not working it could be any number of things. Most of the common ones include a dead battery, empty gas tank, damaged starter, bad spark plugs, or a damaged power train. In any event if the cause is not apparent then you will need to take the vehicle to a mechanic and have them look at it. They may also be able to use an obd scanner to find the issues, but that is not always the case.
