If Your Mercedes me pre-entry climate control is not working it's usually a communication issue. If the high voltage battery has enough charge, the vehicle can be pre-cooled or pre-heated for up to 5 minutes when unlocking using the smartKey.This function can cool or heat the vehicle interior while it is still parked and before it is started. It can be switched on regardless if it is plugged in or not (as long as there is sufficient charge in the high voltage battery), and can run for either 50 minutes (plugged in) or 20 minutes (unplugged).
