While your ford focus heater may not be working for a variety of reasons, the most likely 3 are a broken heater blower engine, a thermostat malfunction, or a failed heater blower motor resistor.

If it was like mine, the heater would work for a bit then blow cold.It was an airlock in the coolant system which i fixed by opening the expansion tank filling to max with coolant and putting the cap back on .Then start the car let it idle for a few minutes to warm up, then hold at 3500 rpm for 30 secs then idle for 30 secs then switch off for 1 minute.Turn back on and repeat holding the revs at 3500 rpm etc for 4 or 5 times till the heater blows hot at idle. This forces the airlock out of the pressurised system.
