The Acura MDX tailgate button not working is due to a bad wire in the gate or the fuse being bad. To get to the fuse box underneath the hood of the car You will want to pop the hood and latch it open. Along the right-hand side of the engine compartment will be a black box or case. You will see that it has a seam that runs around it. If You pop this open You will find the fuse inside. On the back of the lid for the case will be a diagram of what fuse is for what. If this is not on the back of the box then You can also find it in the owner's manual for the car. Once You have figured out which fuse You need simply pull it out. The two sections that stick up should be connected by a thin strip of metal. If this has been broken then the fuse is no good and will need to be replaced. If this strip is there then the fuse is fine and can be popped back in. New fuses will cost You about 10 dollars, so they are pretty cheap

If your tailgate button is not working in your Acura MDX, visit your vehicle's settings to access the "Power Tailgate Keyless Open Mode" to reset.

I can open my Acura MDX 2013 tailgate with my remote control (on the key) or from inside the car (button on the door on the driver side) but once opened, it wont close if I tried with the remote on the key, button on the tailgate itself or the button on door. What could be the issue? Thank you.
