Why's my land rover discovery sport keyless entry not working?

The keyless entry system in Your Land Rover Discovery Sport is actually a bit more than just a keyless entry. It is a security system that can in many cases stop someone from stealing Your vehicle. The system uses signals from various on-board sensors to know when a door is opened or the ignition is turned on and if it senses any of these occurrences while the alarm is set, it goes off. The system isnt perfect though and can have problems that may leave the owner stranded or locked out of their own car. The main issue is usually a dead battery in the key fob which doesnt allow the owner to disable the system. The second is rearer but still happens, the remote can get removed from the systems memory, requiring a re-pairing procedure that needs to be done at the dealership.
