The Subaru Forester's USB port may suddenly stop working. Some tips for troubleshooting include checking to see if a device or phone are charging or whether no power is reaching either. If that's the case You might be dealing with a faulty port. The cost to replace a USB port is under $20 in parts only, but does require some technical know-how. A more common reason it is malfunctioning, is due to the complex software that informs the infotainment system and stereo. To correct, perform a reset of the car's Audio to factory default settings. You may want to turn Your vehicle off and on after completing these steps. Check with Your vehicle's "firmware update" notifications as well to make sure Your not missing any. Lastly, cleaning the input with a can of compressed air can remove debris trapped inside, hindering its function.

Also the 2023 Forester is not better! I bought a brand new one and nothing worked. It did not recognize my 13 pro max iPhone.I had to buy an expensive wireless CarPlay unit to solve the problem now it does not recognizes the thumb USB memory where I keep my favorite music! This is my fourth Subaru I buy but I am starting to believe this make is not longer what it used to be. The service people they give you the run around and do not solve anything! Why with other makes everything works the first time you step in? Apart that only 2 wired ports in 2023 are ridiculous! I am going to see what Subaru is going to do to fix my problems!!!
