Hello! I am a 34-year-old single mom to a hyper and energetic toddler. I started to gain an interest in how cars work when I purchased my first car when I turned 20. I was more the independent type and I liked to fix my car on my own when I could, using a handy dandy OBD II scanner. I would get check engine lights and look up the codes and try to fix them myself or if I couldn't I'd go to a mechanic. I remember the first time I replaced a throttle position sensor on my car and cleared the check engine light. The light never came back on again and I felt so accomplished. That's pretty much what sparked my interest in how cars work.
