As of September 2020, an official recall regarding GMC air conditioning systems has not been released. However, GMC has recognized an issue with the air conditioning system in many of its vehicles. They’ve released special coverage for people who are driving the affected models.

Many GMC drivers found that their air conditioning system seemed to randomly deactivate while they were driving.

To fix the problem, dealers will inspect and replace the AC condenser cooler if necessary.

2018 GMC Sierra AC Condenser failure

The service team was great! Everyone was very pleasant and nice. The price to have AC condenser and recharged was ridiculous - $1,800. There are class action lawsuits, service bulletins and near recall considering the issues with the condenser. GNC has admitted the issue and has been repairing these at a very minimaI charge or at no charge from reading up on the issue. Also understand that a new condenser and design was made in 2019 to address these problems. This charge was very disappointing and I purchased the vehicle here new at Jim Hudson GMC! Never again. I would like for someone to contact me if this charge can be refunded or reduced. I plan to reach out to GMC corporate if not contacted. Thanks

Air conditioner

Our GMC Acadia Denali's aircondtioner stop blowing cold air. We found out that GMC has had a problem with that since 2017. We have to disconnect our battery and then reconnect it to reboot the computer. Then our airconditioner will blow cold air. We have to do this every few days. The dealer said it would cost around $500.00 to fix it. I think GMC should fix it.
