Red 2019 Toyota Highlander From Front-Driver Side

If you’re looking for a vehicle that has remote start, you may ask, “does the 2019 Toyota Highlander have remote start?”

The simple answer is yes, but there is more that you should know about it.

Does the 2019 Toyota Highlander have remote start?

The 2019 Toyota Highlander offers remote start as part of its standard trim. As a result, you won’t have to worry about adding it to the vehicle when you make the purchase.

In this article, we’ll talk about how you can use the remote start (which is designed differently than with some other vehicles) and get moving sooner.

What is Remote Start?

Remote start is one of the modern conveniences that make some vehicles so fantastic. If you live somewhere that is very hot or cold, remote start gives you a way to turn on your vehicle without leaving the comfort of your home or office.

With remote start, the vehicle will turn on with just the click of a button or two, allowing it to cool down or warm up before you get inside. This is particularly helpful when the temperatures are extremely cold because it gives your vehicle time to warm up (without forcing you out into the cold to turn it on).

The remote start for the 2019 Toyota Highlander is located in the key fob. It does not have a dedicated button, so you’ll need to follow some directions to use it correctly. Remember, since this comes standard in the 2019 Toyota Highlander, you won’t have to pay extra for an aftermarket remote.

Does the 2019 Toyota Highlander Have Remote Start?

There is some great news for those who love to use remote start: It comes standard on the 2019 Toyota Highlander. The remote start is standard in the key fob.

Interestingly, the key fob doesn’t have a dedicated button for the remote start, so, if you’ve been looking without luck, don’t worry. Instead, you need to press the lock button twice and hold it down for three seconds on the third press to turn on remote start.

You can watch this video to see how the remote start works for the 2019 Toyota Highlander. To summarize the video:

  • Lock your doors three times
  • Wait around five seconds
  • The vehicle should start up

Remember to leave your air conditioning or heat where you want it, so it will start working right away upon startup. As you enter the vehicle, it will turn off, so don’t be alarmed. This is a push-button vehicle, so keep your keys in hand and then push the button to start your Highlander.

Get Moving and Warm Up with Remote Start

If you want your next vehicle to have remote start, be sure to check out that vehicle’s specs at Vehicle History. Remote start can get your day moving that much easier, so look for it on your favorite vehicle model.

Completely wrong
The writer shows her complete lack of research. Her main premise is false, this feature is NOT standard. She is either deliberately misleading the reader or doing so out of iignorance. Either is irresponsible.

This article is BS and should be taken down
Christina C maybe a “freelance auto industry writer”, but as such she is totally worthless and so is this site for keeping this article up knowing that it’s total BS!!

Yep BS 5 - NEGATIVE STARS
The gentleman starts off by saying we installed the remote starter kit but the lead in article makes the claim that it is a standard feature comes with ALL 2019 Highlanders
accountCircle Sue B. on August 13, 2023
Nope.
Apparently someone didn’t bother to do her research before posting a video that is patently wrong, along with the written information in this article.
