There are two available engine options used in the 2000 Chevrolet Camaro and it's recommended that You use 10W-30 oil for both of them but the oil capacities are different. If You've got the 3.8 L V6 then You need 4.5 quarts while the 5.7 L V8 needS5.5 quarts. For a vehicle like this You may want to go with a full synthetic oil. It's not much more expensive and You'll definitely see some benefits to using it. A big benefit to it is that You'll get less friction and wear on Your engine and its components. With powerful engines like this vehicle has You want to keep them healthy and running well for as long as You can. -
