The 2002 Ford Expedition takeS5.7 liters (6.0 quarts) of SAE 5W-20 engine oil. A few popular products include Castrol Edge, Valvoline High Mileage, Valvoline Advanced, Shell Rotella, Castrol Magnatec, Royal Purple, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, and Mobil 1. Ford recommends replacing this fluid in the Expedition ever 6,000 miles or 6 months, whichever You arrive to first. Old, thick, or low oil can't lubricate and cool the engine properly. It can also result in expensive damage. So, it's advised to check the fluid routinely, even when it's not time to be changed yet to prevent a potential problem. Always check and replace this fluid after the engine has had time to cool to avoid injury. If You pay to have this maintenance work done for You, it will generally cost between $120 and $160. This includes an estimated $50 for labor.
