Both of the available engines for the 2002 Nissan Sentra take A5W-30 engine oil but the 1.8 L only needs 2.9 quarts while the 2.5 L useS4.4 quarts. A Genuine Nissan engine oil or an equivalent that has an API certification seal. Using a synthetic type is also preferable but You can go with a conventional if it's what You have available. If You go with the conventional make sure You change Your oil at 5,000 mile intervals rather than the 7,500 miles with synthetic. You can pick up A5 quart container of a synthetic 5W-30 for as little as $20 so it's not as expensive as it used to be for this variety. -
