The 2003 Toyota Highlander boasts a base motor with a 2.4 liter inline-4 engine. This model uses SAE 5w-30 fully synthetic motor oil. It has an overall oil capacity of 4.2 quarts. You can find these at most retail locations, especially automotive stores, and trusted online car parts retailers. You can expect to pay between $3 and $13 per bottle. If You're driving the 3.0 liter v6 engine, however, You will have an increased capacity of 5.2 quarts of 5w-30 oil. To replace, first make sure the older oil has been properly drained from the nozzle at the bottom of the reservoir. Next, using a funnel, pour the new oil into the tank via the opened cap on top.
