Kia has a list of oils for this base engine based on local weather conditions: 5W20 or 5W30 for most temperatures 10W30 for temperatures above -4 F 15W40 above 5 F and 20W50 above 14 F. The 2.4L inline-4 (engine code [6] 2359cc Q) requires 4.5 quarts of 5W20 or 5W30 oil. 2.7L V6 DOHC option needs 5.1 quarts. The 2.7L V6 (engine code [8] 2656 cc 8) uses 5.1 quarts. All of the engine oil variants are based on synthetic formulated oil.
