The 2006 Nissan Sentra has two engine options which have different oil capacities depending on the trim level. The options are a 1.8 L inline-4 and a 2.5 L inline-4 in which they both will require SAE 5w-30 synthetic oil. The 1.8L useS3 quarts and the 2.5L has a capacity of 4.2 quarts as specified by the factory specs. When choosing oil for the vehicle make sure it's the correct type but also look for the API certification seal because this is letting You know that the oil is approved for use in all vehicles produced by the manufacturer. WIth Conventional You will have to change the oil every 3500 miles and for full synthetic You will have to do a replacement oil and filter every 5500 to 7000 miles.
