The 2006 Subaru Impreza has a 2.5 L 4Cylinder engine that needs SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil. It has a capacity of 4.2 quarts with a filter and the torque for the drain plug iS32.5 ft/lbs. Oil will help keep the engine clean and running smoothly. The oil and filter should be changed every 5,000 to 7,000 miles or sooner if You drive in more extreme conditions. The price per quart is around $5 to $12 or it would cost about $21 to $50 to fill up the full 4.2 quarts. It's pretty simple to do an oil change and only takes about 5 to 20 minutes. Some of the tools needed are drain pan, ratchet, socket and socket extensions.
