The 2006 Toyota Sienna takeS4.7 liters (4.97 quarts) of SAE 5W-30 engine oil. This is a popular viscosity because it's thin enough to flow well in cool temperatures, but not so thin that it doesn't work well in hot temperatures. SAE 5W-30 is a synthetic formula designed to lubricate moving components in the engine while helping to keep it cool. It also typically features additives that help prevent corrosion. Since this fluid is synthetic, it doesn't need to be replaced every 3,000 miles like some people might be used to. Toyota recommends replacing the oil in the 2006 Sienna every 5,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. Your maintenance schedule will vary depending on Your personal driving habits though. Replacing this fluid in this vehicle will run You between $120 and $160 on average. Labor is estimated to cost $40 to $60 of that total amount.

The Toyota manual for the The 2006 Sienna manual I have, makes no mention of synthetic oil, just 5W-30 viscosity. ( 3.3L 6 -cyl Engine 3MZ-FE ). I do use fully synthetic oil too though.
