The 2006 Toyota Tacoma comes with one of two engines, either the 2.7l inline-4 or the 4.0l V6. The 2.7l inline-4 engine useS5.5 quarts of 5w30 synthetic-based oil. It is recommended to change Your oil every 7,500 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. You can extend Your engine life, get better gas mileage, and have better performance if You change Your oil regularly. Regular oil and filter changes help remove particles and sludge from the engine. If the oil isn't changed, Your vehicle's engine will start to have a lot of problems.Over time the oil will become thinner, abrasive, and will start to wear down on vital engine parts. Synthetic oil is by far better for performance. It protects the engine due to lower levels of friction.

The 2006 Toyota Tacoma comes with one of two engines, either the 2.7L inline-4 or the 4.0L V6. The 2.7L inline-4 engine uses 5.5 quarts of 5W30 synthetic based oil. The 4.0L V6 engine takes some different amounts based on options selected on the vehicle: the 2006 Tacoma with the 4.0L engine with RWD only needs 4.8 quarts of oil the RWD PRE trim increases the uses to 5.5 quarts the RWD XRUN takes 4.8 quarts also and the 4WD requires 5.5 quarts. All of the different amounts are all the same when it comes to viscosity, 5W30 synthetic.
