The 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe useS4.8 quarts of oil with the 2.7L V6 engine and the 3.3L V6 engine useS5.5 quarts. Both of the engine use the same SAE 5W-20 oil, and Hyundai recommends using synthetic when it is time to change it. Oil comes in two major varieties, synthetic and conventional. Synthetic oil is engineered to give You greater protection and life than the standard petroleum based conventional oil. This means that You will only need to do oil changes every 7,500 miles with synthetic compared to the 3,500 to 5,000 miles with conventional. Make an effort to check Your oil at least once a month to make sure that it is free from signs of burning or debris.

The 2007 Santa Fe, by Hyundai, comes with two engine options. The 2.7L V6 DOHC engine takes 4.8 quarts of oil, while the 3.3L V6 engine uses 5.5 quarts. Both engines use the same weight and viscosity of oil: 5W20 synthetic is the preferred oil, but 5W30 synthetic oil is allowable.
