The 2008 Dodge Challenger'S6.2l v8 engine requireS7 quarts of 0w40 synthetic oil. It is recommended to change Your oil every 7,500 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. You can extend Your engine life, get better gas mileage, and have better performance if You change Your oil regularly. Routine oil and filter changes help remove particles and sludge from the engine. If the oil isn't changed, Your vehicle's engine will start to have a lot of problems.Over time the oil will become thinner, abrasive, and will start to wear down on vital engine parts. Synthetic oil is by far better for performance. It protects the engine due to lower levels of friction.

The 2008 Dodge Challenger's 6.2L V8 engine requires 7 quarts of 0W40 synthetic oil. It is recommended you get your oil changed every 3-5,000 miles or every 3 months, whichever comes first. You will destroy your engine in the long run if you decide to wait until 7,500 miles and for sure if you wait a year. Yes, it is recognized that synthetic oil can last longer than conventional, meaning you can stretch this recommendation for 5-6,000 miles or 5 months, but this is not the best recommendation.
