The 2008 Kia Sorento came standard with a 3.3L V6 engine but Kia also made available an upgrade option to a more powerful 3.8L V6 engine. If You have the standard model it will have a capacity of 5.5 US quarts but if You have the upgraded engine it will have a slightly larger capacity of 6 US quarts. These numbers are including the filter. Both models are going to need to run on either synthetic 5W-20 or 5W-30 but 5W-20 is the preferred oil for this vehicle. The oil drain plug is going to need a 17mm socket to remove it and You'll need to use 25 ft-lbs of torque.
