The 2008 Toyota Tundra has two distinct models. Toyota offers a choice between A5.7L V8 engine and A4 L V6 engine. They take up to 7.4 quarts and 5.5 quarts of oil respectively. Toyota recommends using a fully synthetic oil, with the sae 5w-30 and 0w-20 being the recommended oils for optimal performance and longevity. Changing oils should be done every 5,000 or so miles, although this can vary depending on use. Changing oils and filters can easily be done by any auto shop for $150 on average. If Youre car-savvy, the oils can be purchased from Wal-mart or Autozone, and the process can be done at home!
