The 2009 GMC Acadia is a bit limited on space when compared to other similar SUV vehicles. The trunk area will have a volume of 24.1 cubic feet. If You remove or fold down the rear seats You're going to be able to move that up to 116.9 cubic feet. This vehicle is not the best when it comes to hauling stuff but it's not the worst either. While it does have a small trunk area it will have a payload capacity of about 1600 pounds. This is similar to what a base model Suburban will be able to carry so You'll have no trouble takeng on heavy items in Your Acadia.
