The type of oil that is recommended for the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe is SAE 5W-20 Synthetic in all temperatures. The capacity for the vehicle iS4.8 quarts with a filter for the 2.7 L V6 and 5.5 quarts with a filter for the 3.3 L V6 engine. The meaning of 5W-20 iS5 is the thickness/viscosity of the oil when You startup the vehicle, with W standing for winter and 20 the thickness or the viscosity when the car is warmed up and running. The oil and filter should be changed every 7,500 Miles because they do not last forever. It is pretty easy to change the oil and only takes about 5 to 20 minutes to do it.
