The 2010 Kia Sportage came straight from the factory with a 2.0L 4Cylinder engine on the base models. You had the option of upgrading the engine or it would have came standard with the more powerful 2.7L V6 engine on the top tier trim level. If You have the base engine in Your vehicle You're going to need to run it on either 5W-20 or 5W-30 synthetic motor oil. 5W-20 is the preferred type. The capacity will be 3.8 US quarts when the filter is included. The upgraded V6 engine is going to need to run on the 5W-20 synthetic only. Your capacity will be 4.8 US quarts, filter included.

The 2010 Kia Sportage 2.7L engine oil capacity is 4.8 quarts (4.5 liters). The 2010 Kia Sportage 2.0L engine oil capacity is 4.2 quarts (4.0 liters). Kia recommends using the 5W-20 or 5W-30 for best performance.
