The 2011 Kia Sportage will have a maximum towing capacity of just 1000 pounds. They did not offer any additional towing package to increase this and the capacity will be the same for all models of this vehicle. The payload capacity will vary a bit between 1230 and 1340 pounds. The higher level trims are going to be able to carry slightly more. The tongue weight capacity is 150 pounds so You're going to be limited on what trailers You can hook up. The base model is going to have a torque output of 176 ft-lbs while the upgraded engine is going to have a torque of 260 ft-lbs.
