The 2011 Toyota Corolla oil type and capacity iS5W-20 and 4.4 quarts. Your oil needs to be changed eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't change it, there will be problems with the engine. Having high quality oil is essential for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with this fluid at some point. A normal problem is a nasty burning smell. This needs to be looked into as soon as possible or the car might explode. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. You could experience bad gas mileage. Knocking noise may show up from the engine.

The best choice engine oil for the 2011 Toyota Corolla is the SAE 0W-20. The SAE 0W-20 engine oil is the best choice for good fuel economy and good starting in cold weather. The oil capacity for the 2011 Toyota Corolla is 4.4 quarts (4.2 liters).

Most vehicles wont explode if you don't change your oil often enough! But to be specific, a 2011 Corolla requests 0w20 Synthetic/Dexos motor oil. Intervals can be 10k or 7500k depending on your driving. This is according to Toyota. Good luck.
