The 2013 Mazda3 with a 2.0 L 4Cylinder engine takeS4.5 quarts of oil while the 2.5 L 4Cylinder engine takes about 5.3 quarts, both of those numbers are assuming that it's with an oil filter replacement. The same type of oil is recommended for both engines and that's a Mazda Genuine Oil full synthetic 0W-20. This is what the manual says will give You the optimum fuel economy for Your vehicle but if You have another brand of 0W-20 on hand You'll be fine using that one as long as it's synthetic. For the best performance and engine health make sure to keep up with Your 5,000 mile oil changes and always replace the filter when You do change the oil. -
