The type of oil that is used in the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander is 0W-20 in all temperatures for both the 2.4 L 4Cylinder and the 3.0 L V6 engine. The capacity for the Outlander iS4.5 quarts with a filter for both the 2.4 L 4Cylinder and the 3.0 L V6 engine. Oil is used to help keep the engine clean and to lubricate parts of the engine to help with friction when they rub together. The oil should be changed every 7,500 miles or every SRX months and the filter should be changed at the same time. Doing a change is a lot more easier than expected and can be done in about 5 to 15 minutes or so.

The oil capacity on the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander is 4.2 US quarts (4.0 Liters). SAE 0W-20 engine oil is strongly recommended for optimum fuel economy and cold starting on the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander. If SAE 0W-20 is not available, the ILSAC certification oil of other viscosity grades can be temporarily used.
