The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe oil type and capacity iS5W-30 and 6 quarts. Having high quality oil is important for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with the oil at some point. Bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. A common problem is an awful burning smell. This needs to be inspected as soon as possible or the car might explode. Knocking noise may arise from the engine. You could experience poor gas mileage. Your oil needs to be replaced eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be issues with the engine.

Hyundai recommends using 5W-30 or 5W-40 engine oil in the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe in all temperatures. If SAE 5W-30 or 5W-40 oil are not available, SAE 10W-30 oil may be used. However, it should be replaced with SAE 5W-30 or 5W-40 at the next oil change. The total motor oil capacity is 6 quarts (5.7 liters).
Jason is correct. The engine takes 4.6L of oil with yellow oil dipstick or 5L of oil with red dipstick.
