The 2015 Jeep Cherokee, with the 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir 2 Engine, has 184 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to tow a maximum of 2,000 pounds. Now, if You've got the 3.2L Pentastar V6 VVT Engine, You'll have 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque at Your disposal, allowing a maximum towing of 4,500 pounds. The factory default tow package has a tongue weight of 450 pounds, but if You go with a replacement hitch, like the Curt Trailer Hitch, You can increase this to 750 pounds.
