The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro oil type and capacity iS5w-30 and 5.5 quarts. Your oil needs to be replaced eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be issues with the engine. Having high quality oil is key for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into problems with the oil at some point. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. A normal problem is a nasty burning smell. This needs to be looked into as soon as possible or the car might explode. You could experience terrible gas mileage. Knocking noise may come about from the engine.

9-10 quarts if drained completely, actually I just bought my 11th quart after my dipstick shows half a quart low.

For the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, the oil type is a full synthetic SAE 5W-30 motor oil. The capacity varies. The 2.0L four cylinder engine and the 3.6L V6 engine both have standard capacities of 5.5 quarts with filter. But if your Camaro includes a cooling system (OCOOL) the capacity is 6 quarts with filter. The 6.2L V8 has a capacity of 8 quarts with filter.
