The 2017 Mazda CX5 with a 2.5 L 4Cylinder engine has an oil capacity of 4.8 quarts and Mazda recommends using SAE 0W-20 motor oil if You're in the USA or Canada. The reason for that is because it's good for year round protection in warm as well as cold climates. It's also recommended to stick with Mazda genuine parts and Castrol oil but that's not really necessary. You can use equivalent parts and oils and You'll be fine, juSTStick with the correct oil weight and You'll be fine. After Your oil change keep in mind that You can safely store and give Your oil to Your local auto parts store and they will safely dispose of it for You. -
