To reset the change oil light for the 2018 Dodge Durango, watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDgOCjxyIGM Your oil needs to be changed eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If you don't change it, there will be problems with the engine. Having high quality oil is essential for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with this fluid at some point. A normal problem is a nasty burning smell. This needs to be looked into as soon as possible or the car might explode. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. You could experience bad gas mileage. Knocking noise may show up from the engine.

On the 2017 dodge durango the change oil light can be reset by turning to ignition key to the on position but do not start the engine. Then you will press and release the accelerator pedal all the way slowly three times within 10 seconds. Finally turn the ignition to off.

Turn the ignition switch to on but not the whole way, you don't want to start the car. Press the gas 3 times quickly, then turn the key in the car the whole way off. This will reset the oil light to 100%
