The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe has a 3.3 L V6 engine that needS5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil. The capacity for the vehicle iS6 quarts with a filter. The torque for the drain plug is 25 to 33 ft/lbs and a new washer should be installed on the drain bolt. What 5W-30 means is that 5 is the viscosity or thickness of the oil at startup, w is for winter and 30 is the thickness or the viscosity at operating speeds. Oil will go bad after a certain point so it needs to be changed, most people do it on a schedule. For the Santa Fe You should do an oil and a filter change every 7,500 to 10,000 miles

The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe runs on a synthetic blend or full synthetic, SAE 5W-30 is preferred. The oil capacity of the 3.6L V6 engine is 6 quarts with a filter change.

A dealer recently said they use 5/20 oil. Has Hyundai changed their oil policy?
