Jeep manufacturer suggests that Your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee oil & filter be modified every 3,000-5,000 miles to traditional oil. You should also use synthetic oil, which would be more costly but needs less oil change as the service period is between 7500 and 10000 miles. Bear in mind that it's best to check Your owner's manual and figure out with Your dealer the intervals that are best on Your car. The conventional oil is not as effective as the synthetic lubricant and will lose its viscosity more easily over time, so it is recommended that the change in oil is more regular. The vehicle will use SAE 0w-20 motor oil as specified by the manufacturer. It will require about 5 quarts of oil and a new filter when You are changing the oil. If You decide to do it Yourself the oil price will range from $5-$10 per quart depending on the brand nad quality.
