The 2018 Jeep Wrangler with the 2.0L i-4 engine has an oil capacity of 4 quarts and the 3.6L v6 engine will require 6 quarts as stated by the manufacturer. The recommended oil for the car is SAE 0w-20 full synthetic and You should replace the engine oil and filter every 3000 - 5000 to ensure Your engine is at its peak performance. Not changing the oil causes the oil to lose its viscosity and will not properly lubricate the internal parts of the engine such as the pistons and cylinders. The price for oil will range from $5 - $10 per quart depending on if it's conventional or synthetic and the brand/quality of the oil. Make sure if You are replacing oil that You also replace the oil filter as well. The oil change is one of the most important service intervals to keep up on and that is why they have the oil light in the truck now to remind You.

The previous answer says the 3.6L - 2018 Wrangler uses 0W-20. Not necessarily true. That is the new style Wrangler JL made later in the year. The 2018 Wrangler JK 3.6L is spec'd by the factory as 5W-20 as was its earlier version of the JK

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler has a full synthetic oil type. The 2.0L 4 -cylinder runs on SAE 5W-30 and holds 5 quarts. The 3.6L V6 uses SAE 0W-20, with a capacity of 5 quarts.

Well just did my oil change, 3.6L JLU amd put 5 qts in, and it's barely on the dipstick, so 2018 JL 3.6l takes 6 quarts

You guys are both right. Just depends if the 2018 model was a JK or JL wrangler

I did an oil change on my 2018 Wrangler JL 2.0 liter and based on the manual it says 5 Quarts. 4 quarts came out, I put in 5 and it now reads overfull. Thoughts?
