Both available engines in the 2019 GMC Yukon take 7.57 liters (8 quarts) of 0W-20 engine oil. This is a synthetic fluid that reduces friction by keeping all moving components in the engine lubricated. It also helps to keep it cool. GMC recommends replacing this fluid every 7,500 miles, but Your appointments may be more frequent if You tow or drive in dusty conditions frequently. If You plan on doing the maintenance work on Your SUV Yourself, You might want to consider Castrol Edge, Kendall, Mobil 1, Valvoline SynPower, or Shell Rotella synthetic oil. You will also need to reset the oil life light when You're finished. This takes only a couple minutes to do. If You take Your Yukon to a dealership or auto shop, You can expect to pay $120 to $150 for the appointment.
