Volkswagen built the 2019 Atlas with the ability to pull a trailer wieghing upwards of 5,000 lbs. They also capped the tongue at 675 lbs. Which is more than most manufacturers rate their tongues for. Being capable of towing so much weight is pretty surprising considering the it only produces 258 to 266 lb-ft. Of torque.
