There are not any active recalls for the door lock actuators on the 2014Chevy Silverado. Manufacturers typically only issue recalls when they determine that there is a significant percentage of the components failing from a production run. Chevrolet is aware of some known problems with the door lock actuators on the Silverado, but it has not found them to be widespread enough to warrant issuing a recall on them. At this point in time they are replacing the actuators as needed for the vehicles and doing some of them for free under warranty. If you have any problems locking and unlocking your truck I recommend that you visit a Chevy dealer and let them take a look at it.

The 2014 chevy silverado has a fluid problem that can get into the driver's door master power window control panel, causing corrosion that may result in a circuit board short. A short time can trigger intermittent functioning of the power door lock and power window switches or become inoperative. The short can also cause overheating, which could melt door module components, causing odor, smoke, or a fire. A short circuit board could lead to a fire which could increase the risk of personal injury. A fire may also occur while the vehicle is not in operation. Owners are advised to park outside as a precaution, before the cure has been made.
