There is no camshaft position sensor recall on the 2015 Chevy Equinox. The camshaft position sensor gathers information about the vehicle's camshaft speed and sends it to the vehicle's engine control module (ECM). The ECM uses this data to determine the timing of the ignition, as well as the timing of the fuel injection that the engine requires.A failing camshaft position sensor begins losing its ability to quickly transfer data. Mismatched fuel delivery and ignition timing, even if off by a few milliseconds, will cause Your vehicle to sputter, accelerate poorly, lack power, stall or even shut off. The cost for a camshaft replacement is between $1500 and $3000 with labor costs and parts priced. You shouldn`t neglect engine servicing and oil changes then the camshaft won`t break.

There should be there should be there should be a recall on the camshaft position position sensor because it seems to be happening to so many vehicles especially the 2015 come on Chevy get it get it together and start doing your recalls that are should be called also there's other things that go on with the 2015 Chevy Equinox that have happened to the other vehicles in the past and same things so why aren't they recalls when they were before Chevy's dropping the ball
I agree! I have now replaced my camshaft position sensors 3 times in the last year in a half!

I do not have an answer but do agree. I have sensor problems every month making my vehicle jerk in to gear and at the same time my air conditionerblows warm air!!! Whebn I turn to the left it seems to sputter like the gas flow misses out.??? I have an XLT and this should not be happening. Need help
