While it's technically possible to take just about any vehicle on the beach, the Toyota Highlander is not particularly designed for the application. You'll find that the AWD (if equipped) is underprepared for sandy situations, and the suspension is quite low and tight to deal with the bouncing ride. You'll likely risk more damage than is worth it if You take Your Highlander on the beach. Still, if You're particularly careful and don't mind a bumpy ride, anything's possible. Remember to remove some of the air from Your tires before beginning the foray, as this can help with handling. Above all else, listen to what Your vehicle is telling You! If You feel like You're having handling, suspension, or drivetrain issues, it's best to return to solid ground to avoid any long term damage.

Whether you can drive your toyota highlander on the beach or not would depend on the tires that you have on your vehicle.
