The towing method for the Chevrolet Trax varies by which drive type You have (FWD vs. AWD), but neither can accept a flat tow. If You have the front wheel drive version, You'll need to find a tow dolly with electric brakes, with a capacity of at least 4,250 pounds. If You have an all wheel drive Trax, the towing method is a bit more complex; You'll need a car trailer that can lift all four of the wheels off the ground. Any attempt to flat tow the Trax in any configuration can lead to serious transmission damage, likely necessitating replacement of the entire transmission. It's certainly not worth the risk, as trailers can be rented from the likes of UHaul or others for a nominal fee if You don't have access to one on Your own.
