The 2018 and newer Ford EcoSport is not designed to be flat towed. The owner's manual for it says that You should not tow the vehicle with the front wheels on the ground at all and that if You do have to for a short period of time to not exceed 12 miles per hour. Some vehicles that have a different transmission, or four wheel drive vehicles that have a transfer case, can be flat towed behind a motor home. In general You do not want to tow anything that is front wheel drive because of the way the transmission and engine work together. Flat towing one of these can cause permanent engine or transmission damage.

Due to the Ford Ecosport's 4WD design, it is not recommended you flat tow your vehicle, or transmission damage may ensue.
