The most common complaints for the 2009 Porsche Cayenne are for the cooling system, electrical system, fuel system, drivetrain, and interior accessories. Drivetrain issues tend to be the most concerning. The Cayenne is known for having a problem with the drive shaft going off suddenly, which results in violent shaking and loss of control. Cooling system problems include expensive repairs from the oil and coolant mixing due to a failed head gasket needing replacement. The average cost for this repair is $2,340 to $2,870. Labor makes up $1,959 to $2,460 of that total. The most common fuel system related issue reported is the fuel pump failing. This repair will run You $2,230 to $2,310 with labor comprising $250 to $340 of that total.

We haven't had many issues with our Cayenne S's, a 2004 and 2005 except replacing the drive shafts, control arm bushings, back hatch shocks and brakes wearing, but the brakes might be an operator issue :-)

I have had two cayennes, a v6 diesel and currently a v8 diesel. At 190,000 ks I can’t let it go. Been a great economical performance vehicle. Little to no problems at all. May have to go to 300 ks as what can you replace a vehicle like this with!!!
