Since 2016, Toyota has opted to abandon 3rd party tools like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Instead, their vehicles come equipped with their proprietary Entune Audio Plus system, which is integrated with Telenav as well. As a result, the 2016 Toyota Highlander does not come with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto by default. This, however, doesnt mean You cant have those features. All Youll need to do is install a third party stereo that supports these features. These can be purchased at any retailer like Walmart, Auto-zone or Amazon. Once installed, they can be connected to Your devices to use Apple CarPlay.

No unfortunately toyota vehicles do not have the option of apple car play or android auto.
