The 2002 Toyota Sequoia is not equipped with a cabin air filter. Many current vehicles, however, are outfitted with one either under the dashboard behind the glove compartment or under the hood. Many consider a cabin air filter to be an integral part of a healthy environment, keeping the interior of their car free of dust, dirt and allergy causing pollens. A filter also works with the HVAC system to protect the fan and ducts from clogging or damage. When servicing a CAF, keep in mind it must be changed as a part of Your vehicle's routine maintenance schedule, and while this interval varies based on make and model owned, most manufacturers recommend replacing the CAF at least every 15,000 and 30,000 miles to keep the interior of the vehicle clean.
